Working 9 to 5 is tedious. Everything is the same, and in the wise words of Dolly Parton: “It’s all taking and no giving.” Aside from paying the bills, your typical 9 to 5 is a little less than gratuitous, especially for the musician whose full-time job doesn’t revolve around music. Sometimes it can feel like it’s even hindering your career as a musician. Sitting in meetings all day, it’s hard to find the time, energy, or creativity to make music. But that’s okay because music doesn’t operate on a 9 to 5 schedule. So, you, a musician, don’t have to either.
To be a musician, in essence, is to make music. Whether you make it every day, every week, or every month, all that matters is that you make it. Music doesn’t follow a set schedule and neither does your creativity. So, when it comes to music, make your own rules. Make it on your own time and your own terms. You don’t need to write a song every day or even every month. As long as you’re making music, you are one. Here at RecordDrop we support musicians. With fan feedback and access to demographic analytics, we give you control. RecordDrop allows musicians to promote and distribute music on their own time and their own terms. So even if you’re stuck in a 9 to 5, no worries. RecordDrop is here whenever you’re ready!
